Strategic & External Relations (SER)
Strategic & External Relations is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, facilitate and lobby for implementation of HSBC’s strategic plans in China at Group, ASP and HBCN levels as well as development plans of HBCN's business.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
-Develop and maintain cordial and mutually beneficial relationship with external stakeholders , industry associations, and other organizations to promote and enhance HSBC's profile and industry leadership, in close alignment with the Bank's short-term/long-term strategies;
-Explore external channels and platforms to identify and firm up business opportunities, supporting customer groups' business acquisition and exploration;
-Monitor and track key commercial initiatives and policies, and help draft, translate and proofread important proposals and reports providing analysis, if necessary, for senior management's reference;
-Coordinate across function lines to implement senior management's strategies and decisions, and collect data and feedback from function lines for senior management's reference;
-Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
-The role requires generic but comprehensive knowledge of related banking functions, therefore, the role holder need to have the ability to learn and grasp related knowledge fast before interfacing with external stakeholders;
-The role requires a strong internal communication capability as it involves coordinated efforts from different CGs and functions on daily basis;
-The role requires strong sense of compliance and strict adherence to the existing regulations as well as the rule and guidelines of the Bank;
-It should be avoid to disclose internal information or to make commitment without consultation with and consent from the line manager;
Certifications, Qualifications & Experience (For the Job – not the Job holder. Minimum requirements of the Job)
-Bachelor's degree or above;
-At least 5 years related working experience;
-Understanding/knowledge of commercial banking will be a plus;
-Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese;
-Strong interpersonal skills;
-Strong business sense;
-Persuasive and persistent personality;
-Meticulous and detail-oriented.
