We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior System Administrator/System Administrator.
Principal responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the role is to provide Infrastructure/Application and cloud monitoring & alerting support on the AppDynamics and Cloud. Ensuring delivery of automation with self-sustainable model with new Agile ways of working, adhering to established global standards and best practice. Maintain and exceed existing SLA’s and ensure compliance to HSBC policies at all times with Agile working. Actively participate in achieving organizational efficiency objectives and undertake analysis on day-to-day work to drive automation on deliveries thereby reducing repetitive and standardized tasks/processes and improve Monitoring Maturity of the services

- Align to business partner's goals for the Technology / Domain / Project and deliver goals as per agreed schedules & specifications.
- Align with new ways of working to become self-sustainable POD and Improve Monitoring Maturity for services.
- Understand & analyze business requirements & scope, identify gaps, translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Deliver the solutions / deliverables per the agreed requirements with regards to project timelines
- Provide technical inputs to assist TL / APM to create project Plans & schedules, effort estimates, requirement gathering & analysis, risk analysis.
- Assist TL / APM to identify service delivery issues (SLA Slippages, Quality etc), post implementation issues, escalations and assist to drive timely & successful closure. Identify & implement actions to eliminate issues
Efficiency & Cost Savings
- Identify sustainable cost savings & efficiency gains that can be achieved by removal / reduction of direct or by reduction in FTE requirement through automation of manual tasks, removal of duplicate tasks, improvements in processes
Skills required
- Should have a minimum of 3 - 7 years IT experience out of which a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the following monitoring tools:
- Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP)
- AppDynamics
- Development Experience / Knowledge
- Experience of working on End User Monitoring tooling.
- Should have worked on installation, troubleshooting and administration of above products on UNIX based hosts.
- Shell scripting and UNIX OS knowledge is advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience working on Java and understanding of API based architecture is advantageous.
- ITIL trained or certified (Foundation knowledge or experience)
- Adaptable and quick learner an advantage
- Linux / Widows experience with admin experience will be good.
Hour of work / Shifts
- 9 hour shifts with 1 hour lunch / dinner break.
- Shift timings are as below :
Morning Shift: 0600 IST to 1500 IST
Evening Shift: 14:00 IST to 23:00 IST
Night Shift: 2200 IST to 0700 IST
