About US
The US Marketing function is passionate about supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of a brand strategy. With the objectives to support the drive for revenue, increase customer value and brand satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets at a global & local level.
You would be part of the Marketing Campaigns Team, which ensures all activity, regardless of channel, is strategically aligned and cohesive. It ensures that campaign plans are clearly aligned to US business, customer and brand objectives. This team develops and implements all country and global brand activity and gives brand guidance to other functions and businesses, sharing best brand practices and ensuring that all activity is developed within the consistent brand framework, including global & local partnerships. This role will also work closely with the central events team.
What you might expect on a typical day:
- Helping develop and carrying out the new HSBC US brand framework and one-brand approach, while establishing ownership of all local brand activity – inclusive of internal & external activities such as media buys, partnerships, events, social media channels and more
- Work with Head of Brand & Partnerships to deliver a clear brand brief aligned to the US business to drive the smooth and efficient delivery of agreed activity, ensuring it is tracked and measured appropriately to demonstrate efficiency and return on investment
- Responsible for the creative development process, including agency relationships and processes to support creativity, consistency and timely delivery of campaign materials & engaging content
- Coordination of a multi -channel brand strategy & communications, media campaigns and activities to deliver against business objectives and ambitions of the HSBC US
- Stay on top of customer needs and latest marketing/media trends within the industry via all opportunities whether face-to-face, online or through external research
- Responsible for coordinating xlob media approach and creating one brand view for all in-market media and below-the-line activity
- Ensure that campaign efficiency is improved by linking external brand campaigns with internal business awareness
- Work closely with all lines of business/functions, and employee groups, to ensure all activity is consistent with brand guidelines and approved
- Establish positive relationships with Global Brand and Partnerships team to use global resources, funding and activity where needed
- Lead US brand budget, expenses and reporting template
- Crafting a brand governance plan for HSBC US to provide guidance, framework and templates and the processes that support brand usage
Holders of this role are encouraged to demonstrate a good understanding of key trends and areas of innovation which influence the way we interact and engage with our external customers, internal partners and audiences. These should include digital marketing, new technology, Marketing Automation, Customer Relationship Management, Agile working practices, and data and analytical tools, and how this helps HSBC to be more customer centric.
