We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this newly formed team in the role of Manager, Strats, CMB Financial Resource Management

Role Overview:
This is a Manager (associate) level position within the new CMB FRM Strats function. The role holder will support the FRM Strats organisation to identify and execute opportunities to improve the profitability of the business using quantitative analysis, developing tools to supervise risks to profitability and working in cross functional teams to implement changes to the technology stack. This includes, but is not limited to, funding costs, interest rate risk, reserves, liquidity risk and RWAs

Specifically, the role holder is encouraged to support the FRM function monetise opportunities through:

  • Development / supporting development of models / methods
  • Documentation of models
  • Integration analysis/support
  • Supporting development of test/release tools
  • Helping to upskill the wider team on techniques and methods,
  • Strong advocate for CMB FRM & Strats capabilities.
  • As part of a distributed team the role will involve working with multiple regional teams with a view to identifying standard methodology in terms of FRM and introducing those ideas and processes across regions. These include the use of technology, statistical analysis and risk management techniques as well as the improvement of relevant models.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Broad-based experience in financial services with preference for those who have passionate about credit, rates or cash management markets
  • Proven track record within a strats / quant / analytics / data function
  • Experience in working with large sophisticated data-sets in a commercial environment
  • Motivated self- starter with innovative problem solving skills
  • Highly numerate with background in mathematic subject areas e.g. computer science, statistics, physics, engineering, etc
  • Good experience of software development and experience in a range of coding languages e.g. Python, C++
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience of preparing and presenting recommendations to managers and other partners
  • Result oriented and great teammate
  • Attention to detail
