We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • The role holder must also drive operational excellence across our businesses worldwide, achieving this through the consolidation, simplification and continuous improvement of processes across the full range of HSBC operations.
  • Communicate with the relevant project teams regarding resolving technical / application issues related to delivery of projects.
  • Ability to provide solution to upgrade to latest trending technologies
  • Work with Engineering and operations to ensure our environment is monitored appropriately.
  • Ensure SLA commitments are met, and escalate accordingly.
  • Provide Deployment activities to create & maintain development, test, UAT and production environments in project deployment phase.
  • Establish, document and implement the best practices in the end to end application initiation and deployment processes.
  • Working for continuous improvement to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Flexible & able to work independently.
  • 24 X 7 Support Production
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
  • At least experience- 5 to 7 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of Payments and Banking domain.
  • Strong knowledge in Oracle, PL/SQL, Control-M, Toad and WinCP
  • Sound knowledge on Reports generation
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Agile discipline and the ability put the discipline into practice
  • Good knowledge of Web services to ease API understanding
  • Adhere to Agile ways of working and Scrum framework.
  • Good experience in status reporting to stakeholders
  • Should able to troubleshoot any infrastructure related issues independently.
  • Excellent multitasking ability - Must have ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, and to drive results through partner organizations.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data).
  • Good analytical and problem analysis skills.
  • Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently
  • Should be excellent team member and work as a cross-functional team member and liaise with other Specialist.
