To help support this purpose, we are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our US Marketing Team as Marketing Manager of Operations and Governance. This person will be charged with ensuring a consistent and iterative operational and governance approach is used across the US Marketing Team to move our team's current ways of working forward, while ensuring compliance with company policy, industry, and government regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong operations and governance background, be well organized, work extremely well with all levels of management, and possess a thorough understanding of rules and regulations for the financial industry. This individual will also help shape the future of the US Marketing Team by continually evolving ways of working to best meet the needs of our customers and our people, both today and tomorrow. This role has direct reporting to the US Head of Marketing Operations and Governance.

- Demonstrated understanding of operational and governance best practices, and associated controls and regulations of the financial industry.
- Strong planning, analytical, communications, decision-making, lateral thinking, influencing, interpersonal and project management skills.
- Confirmed knowledge of the banking industry, products and services supported as well as the external environment affecting them.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate across various business lines, units and at senior levels within the organization; history of communicating effectively within a large organization.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
- Minimum of five years proven and progressive experience in marketing, operations, and governance or equivalent experience, three years minimum financial services or industry-specific segment preferred.
- Knowledge of the products offered in the financial services industry, as well as laws and regulations affecting their delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, operations, related field, or equivalent experience.
