To help support this purpose, we are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our US Marketing Team as Marketing Manager of Budgets and Performance. This person will be charged with the ownership of the US Marketing Team’s multi-million-dollar marketing budget and associated people costs, including all financial and regulatory reporting. This individual will also assist with marketing effectiveness reporting to connect marketing spend to business results and revenue attribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting and/or finance background, be well organized, work extremely well with all levels of management, and possess a thorough understanding of rules and regulations for the financial industry. This individual will also help shape the future of the US Marketing Team by continually evolving ways of working to best meet the needs of our customers and our people, both today and tomorrow. This role has direct reporting to the US Head of Marketing Operations and Governance.

- Demonstrated understanding of finance, budgeting, and associated controls and regulations of the financial industry.
- Strong planning, analytical, communications, decision-making, lateral thinking, influencing, interpersonal and project management skills.
- Confirmed knowledge of the banking industry, products and services supported as well as the external environment affecting them.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate across various business lines, units and at senior levels within the organization; history of communicating effectively within a large organization.
- High level of proficiency with MS Excel/Office, accounting systems and programs
- Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions
- Minimum of five years proven and progressive experience in finance, accounting, marketing or equivalent experience, three years’ minimum corporate financial management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the products offered in the financial services industry, as well as laws and regulations affecting their delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, related field, or equivalent experience. CPA designation preferred, but not required.
