Private Banking and Trust Services – Private Banking Department

 

 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Manager, Credit Support.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide credit advices and operational support including review & approval on credit proposals.
  • Formulate and review credit guidelines on regular/ ad hoc basis to cope with business needs
  • Support various credit policy reviews in dealing with business needs, credit appetite and regulatory changes
  • Manage credit quality by proactively follow up with Front Office on credit monitoring and control and timely escalation for material cases/ issues
  • Prepare periodic/ ad hoc reports for internal departments and external parties (including WMR, WCR, MTS, FIN, RC, bank management and regulatory bodies etc.)
  • Coordinate credit administration tasks and operations with Front Office and relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct regular review on internal guidelines, work processes and service levels to enhance operational efficiencies, identify streamlining opportunities and initiate procedural changes and/ or system enhancements to cope with internal or external requirements/ changes
  • Keep abreast on market development and competitor move
  • Coach and develop team members and their talents
     
Requirements
  • University degree in a related discipline OR other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years’ banking experience with knowledge in credit control/ monitoring and operations an advantage
  • Strong business sense and credit skills
  • Good analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attentiveness to details and ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with good knowledge of application software such as MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables
