We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Head of Architecture, Securities Services Technology. This position will be critical to help us achieve our ambition and strategy.

Principal Responsibilities
- Integrate architecture into everything we do, rather than it being a “parallel” organization that’s engaged through silo programmes/processes/governance
- Ensure that the target Technology Architecture roadmap is implemented consistently by engaging and leading a team of architects, engineers, and their respective DevOps teams, providing technology consultation and solution design
- Working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to drive global initiatives and define short and long-term strategies that will lead and own the development and implementation of Enterprise Architecture strategy.
- Developing group-wide architecture strategies with key stakeholder support and implementing enterprise platform roadmaps to meet the current and future needs of the business and our clients
- Collaborating across business lines both regionally and globally and aligning with Group and MSS architecture design and strategy
- Exercising strong governance of architecture compliance along Group policies and principles, and supporting effective architecture decisions with well-defined processes and artefacts; chairing the regional and global architecture and engineering forums for design decisions
- Proposing technology solutions for businesses and functions, governing design conformance in project execution, and enabling effective architecture input under the Agile and DevSecOps model
- Managing bank-wide technology stack and application system inventory, driving improvement, saving and evergreen opportunities in optimizing IT investment whilst protecting against technology risks and debts
- Innovating through the use of emerging technologies, specifically Cloud, Big Data, AI/ML, FinTech etc., and bringing business values via proof of concepts and an experimental approach to solution design
- Championing technology and engineering excellence in the organization and thereby uplifting capability and the continuous improvement and efficiency of the IT function as a leader-by-example; passionately evangelising to and educating the broader engineering community as a strong promoter of self-learning
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the technology domain specifically in IT architecture and hand-on development with expert knowledge current cutting-edge design
- Outstanding enterprise architecture exposure and an exemplary track record of innovative solution design in banking or financial services
- Strong technology leadership skills, hands-on experience in emerging technologies including Cloud, Big Data, AI/ML, API etc.
- Expertise with modern software architectural patterns such as micro-services, cloud-native and Hexagonal architecture
- Experience in working with diverse culture, with global or regional exposure being an advantage
- People management experience and leadership skills in driving a high-performance team
- Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Practicable experience in applying agile and DevSecOps, preferably from an architecture perspective
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mind-set to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
- Good knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and applying different methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum and Waterfall
