We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Facing senior management from IT and Business for any production stability agenda (Incidents, re-occurring incidents, production trends, changes, outages, etc)
  • Manage and drive the change requests and accommodating them into the program timelines (e.g. Release Calendar, Service Protection Period, Bank Holiday’s, Embargo, Patching/Role swap Deadlines, weekly implementation planning meetings etc.)
  • Lead the infrastructure planning and delivery, Run book preparation, implementation walk-thru and post implementation activities.
  • Engagement of required and relevant teams required for implementation well in advance
  • Regular meeting with Project Manager to inform them of the progress or any identified risk or issues.
  • Represent and Update the Heliview Calls
  • Ensuring Production Stability and Service Resiliency is maintained
  • Ensure that there is continual monitoring across applicable technology controls and associated key control indicators
  • Troubleshooting issues to quickly analyse available data to arrive at a root cause of the problem
  • Managing the issues and requests list to ensure open queries and problems are dealt with promptly
  • Incident management process including issue investigation, performing post incident reviews, management of stakeholder expectations, and delivery of resolutions
  • Contributing to product development by recommending changes to improve supportability and efficiency
  • Undertake detailed analysis into service management related data to understand themes and areas of improvement
  • Arrange/attend crisis calls for major incidents and interface with all internal/external parties (e.g. vendors, ITID)
  • Help teams drive transformation and DevOps maturity (CI/CD pipelines, code quality, test automation, embedding of support, articulating what good looks like from an Operational perspective)
  • Help defining best practices across Production management with development leads (define Post Implementation Review (PIR) processes and templates, reviews, and subsequent actions)
  • Coordinate and ascertain good support models for major Change initiatives or transformations by working with internal teams
  • Own Production Reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly) wrt production outage, business impact, etc.
  • Review all changes from ITID, other partners which has potential impact to application and agree/approve them accordingly

 

 

 

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • At least 10+ Years’ experience in Service Management, Production Support and Release management
  • Should have prior experience of multiplatform critical(Tier0) System/Application.
  • Should have better understanding of Mainframes technologies-preferably COBOL, JCL, DB2, TWS, REXX, CICS, VSAM, z/OS
  • Should have knowhow of Java technologies and frameworks (Core Java preferable)
  • Should have sound understanding of various infrastructure set ups, security patching, NAS, Role swap and DR processes
  • Should be proficient in Capacity planning and performance Tuning
  • Software Development Methodology: Agile Methodology and DevOps process
  • Should be able to collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders
  • Should possess excellent communication skills
  • Interested to work on cross-platform.
  • Well-organized, self-starter, trouble-shooter and detail oriented person who is able to work under pressure and minimum supervision.
  • B tech/BE/ MCA or equivalent

 

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

  • Preferably ITIL certified
