HSBC Asset Management (“AM”) Product Group is responsible for the strategic and commercial development of AM Product manufacturing capabilities including Development, Management, Governance, Support and Mandate delivery across all Global Markets (Global Lux/Dublin/Guernsey), UK, Hong Kong, France, Germany, US, Taiwan and Japan). The product team in Bangalore has been established to organize and manage activities that are currently done by teams onshore with a view to standardizing and systemizing outputs across jurisdictions via the offshore team.
The Opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)
We are seeking exceptionally intelligent, resourceful, and self-motivated individuals to be a part of our Product Support Team. The Team based in Bangalore acts as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ within AMG to provide:
- Support to the onshore Product Teams and the onshore Global Data Management team.
- Support HSBC governance committees, Fund Boards & Management Companies and their delegated third-parties.
- Centralize a number of activities, one of which is around the production of industry leading fund legal and marketing documentation. These activities are performed for HSBC AMG’s mutual fund ranges.
What you’ll do: (List out Key Responsibilities)
?Writing, maintaining and coordinating the approvals of fund investment objectives for the Global Product Management team’s UCITS KIIDs, PRIIPs EPT and fund factsheets.
?Work with the Product Managers on the updating and management of prospectus/explanatory documentation across multiple platforms and jurisdictions using a technology and workflow platform.
?Work with the Fund & Investment Governance Team and equivalents in regional Product teams to source and maintain Product FDS data.Collate and provide inputs to Product Reviews to determine and provide recommendations on existing products.
?Focus on Data Quality and ensure AMG’s funds details provided to external parties are constantly maintained.
Proactively resolve any identified data issues, propose and implement enhancements to data management processes.
?Review and enhance current operations and data governance for the team and datasets.
?Provide support for AMG Governance committees and Fund Boards in relation to the management of material and collation of meeting papers.
?Contribute in broader team initiatives related to product governance, as well as other initiatives of the global and regional Product teams.
?Work with peers, onshore and local team managers and be open to take additional responsibilities. Work in close coordination with other peers/colleagues and independently handle various team deliverables with complete ownership and accountability.
?Helping the team lead in mentoring the junior team members and collaborate to impart best practices to the team.
What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)
Candidates should be MBA or a Masters in a related field
?Strong understanding of Asset Management domain is essential
?Candidates should have experience in working fund analyst or a Fund financial analyst
?Analytical thinking, attention to detail and an ability to follow a disciplined research process is critical for the role
?Good knowledge of relevant financial markets, coupled with good analytical & MI skills
?Good quantitative skills including strong working of Excel and knowledge of databases and tools such as Morningstar Direct, etc.
?Proactive, positive attitude and ability to multitask
?Team player, strong organizational and time management skills, and client focused
?Analytical objectivity, ability and willingness to pursue a research idea to line of analysis to conclusion, this has particular relevance with regard to on boarding of the funds, extracting expense ratios, management fees etc.
