The Interest Rate Risk Management VP will support IRR function in execution of core deliverables in line with IRR strategy and Book of Work. This includes, but not limited to, working with Global Businesses, Global Treasury and Finance to ensure an effective identification, measurement and reporting of IRR, activities/processes outlined in Global IRR policy and procedures, delivering to regulatory requirements as outlined in the Book of Work.
The job holder will be expected to have a good understanding of IRR, its measurement and management activities, Transfer Pricing elements, Behavioral principles and have ability to interface senior stakeholders on IRR topics

You will be responsible for
- Interfacing with areas of Global Finance, Markets Treasury (MKTY), Global Markets (GM), Global Banking (GB), Commercial Banking (CMB), Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM), HSBC Securities Services (HSS) and WPB
- Working with Global Businesses and Finance to steer the evolution of the balance sheet, forecasting, hedging and accurate and effective Transfer Pricing
- Working with Global Treasury team on delivery of IRR Book of Work
- Analysing and manage IRR, where applicable, particularly oversee Behavioural Policies, NII and EVE sensitivities
- Liaising with Treasury Change and Treasury Operations to ensure delivery of Treasury reporting requirements and Finance Transformation initiatives
- Highlighting issues, risks and opportunities and prioritise these within a defined remit set Treasury
- Supporting ICAAP and RA setting for IRR
- Relevant product knowledge with emphasis on banking book products
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Accounting, Financial Analysis or similar
- Past working experience with relevant systems, i.e. SQL, QRM
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
- A broad understanding of financial budgets/ models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
- A flexible and adaptable approach to change
- Ability to proactively contribute to the overall Treasury team objectives, supporting and leading activities to achieve shared goals
- A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications.
