Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
This role heads up the RC Business Management Function in HBCN and support the country RC teams in all business management related aspects, in particular change management, driving and implementing MI and data strategy, global and local systems deployment alongside with financial/people management, internal controls, and other general administration tasks.
The role holder has to be able to work closely with the Global and Regional RC COO teams, as well as various teams in the country including CRE, IT, HR, Procurement, other Risk sub-functions. He or she needs to be able to translate strategies into actions, articulate the requirements of RC, and bring about positive changes to the way the teams operate through automation, standardization, innovation and process streamlining.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• University graduate preferably with a degree in IT, Accounting, Management or Finance.
• Previous background of working in a matrix organizational structure
• Proven track record on managing complex projects, driving changes and implementing innovation
• Experience in handling data and MI related initiatives
• Effective written and spoken communication skills in English
• Evidence of delivery in a similar role within a global organization
• Strong relationship management with a focus on financial and budget requirements.
