The Full Stack Engineering job is responsible for working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service in a pod within a Technology team.
They will be required to continually enhance their skills within a number of specialisms which include front end, development, security, testing and operational support.
This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
- Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand
- End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
- Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
- Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
- Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end-to-end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge
- Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change
- Enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps through appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy
- Actively participate in the Continuous Exploration process as part of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, especially with enabler Epics
- Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
- Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
- Responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical vision for an Agile Release Train (ART) to help ensure the system or Solution under development is fit for its intended purpose
- Support solution development by providing, communicating and evolving the broader technology and architectural view of the solution. Collaborate and align on solution with the Solution Architect
- Establish critical NFRs for the solution and participate in the definition of others
- Define, explore, and support the implementation of enablers to evolve solution intent, working directly with Agile teams to implement them
- Support technology/engineering aspects of program and solution Kanbans
- Participate in SAFE Agile ceremonies, such as Pre- and Post-PI Planning, Architecture Sync, Demos
- Experience of working within a large, complex and geographically dispersed organization (including matrix management structure and across time zones).
- Building trusting Relationships – highly collaborative and engaging, building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same to drive right outcomes.
- Experience of working in the Agile environment, leading projects / driving analysis and / or design
- Examples of the successful delivery of the projects on time
- Experience in working with remote teams
- Highly motivated and able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Work experience with mobile development (iOS and Android)
- University graduate (preferably in IT) followed by at least 5-10 years of professional experience,
- Good knowledge of working experience with data analysis
- Excellent Knowledge of SDLC / Agile methodology; SAFE certification would be a plus
- JIRA knowledge is a must
- Microsoft Office skills

- Able to adjust in rapidly changing environment and to prioritize your activities and set the right expectations with your internal and external stakeholders
- Availability for after-hours production support on an as needed basis
- 8-10 years of relevant System development, or design experience in delivery role in financial services environment.
- 2-3 Years of AWS Experience a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Financial Services industry including industry trends, competitive pressures, product and service offerings and organisational operating models.
