Programme Management Office (PMO) role holders work in projects of a variety of sizes, which are single or multiple work stream, have country or global dimension, and be of both narrow and broad scope. The principal accountability of the PMO role is to run the office in carrying out project monitoring, governance and reporting activities.
PMO role holders may have direct reports which may be PMO staff, Project support staff or administration staff. PMO Managers may report to Programme or Project Managers.
The role within Digital Banking and Strategic change has a total of 13 resources reporting to it. These resources vary from Value Stream leads, Product Owners and Business Analysts. The team is broken down into 3 value streams: Lending and Limits, Wholesale Client Onboarding and Data and Analytics. The team is transitioning to an Agile WoW. The book of work encompasses all of CMB, but requires close engagement with GLCM, GB and Trade
Primary responsibilities:
- Leading all aspects of the tracking of statuses, project deliverables and milestones
- Engagement with Business Outcome Leads
- Risk and issue monitoring and escalation
- Planning and overseeing project and programme level reporting
- Management and monitoring of project governance arrangements
- Monitor, report and handle budgets and expenditure
- Implement project standards across projects
- Supervise the management of project documentation, process documents and information sources (adherence to Change Framework)
- Be a great partner with internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for developmental activity for junior team members
- Lead the team, set objectives and provide career mentorship
- Manage programmes of work when necessary.

Please apply if you have:
- Minimum of eight years proven and progressive project management experience supporting assigned businesses or functions
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in business related field. Advanced degree preferred
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification highly desirable
- Strong managerial, problem-solving, lateral thinking, communications, project management, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe software
- Proven experience with presenting proposals and project findings to senior management
- Proven ability to lead and manage staff while transferring technical knowledge to insure ongoing development of staff
