The Retail Apparel Group manages HSBC Corporate Banking’s global relationships with US-headquartered clients ranging from $100MM to $20Bn+ revenue in the Retail/Apparel space. The Group is looking for an Associate Relationship Manager (AVP or Senior Associate equivalent) to focus on Retail clients.
The role holder will work closely with Global Relationship Managers to retain and grow Large Corporate customer relationships for HSBC while adhering to the Group values, business strategy, operational policies, regulatory requirements and risk management practices. The role holder will also take responsibility for all aspects of clients’ new-money applications and refinancings, and working on (including but not limited to): sales pitches/product coordination, sector analysis, prospecting, etc.
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Knowledge
- Broad knowledge of Corporate Banking and Markets (and particularly HSBC) structures, products and services
- Appreciation of the changing economic, social and governmental environment in U.S.
- Knowledge of international business and the global Retail industry
- Knowledge of CRM systems, transaction structuring/profitability analysis
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a client-focused environment with a demonstrated understanding of Corporate Banking
- Credit training /underwriting experience
- Experience working with Large Corporate clients
- Experience navigating a large financial institution
- Experience working with retail industry clients is strongly desired; client-facing experience a must
- Appreciation of working in a global environment
