We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. .
Purpose of this role:
- HSBC have just gone live with a new implementation of IDQ however there is much development remaining in order to grow this implementation into the central global tool for data quality management.
- Various client lists will be sourced from multitude of systems. Data requirements and templates for in-sourcing of data will be defined. You will be part of a small central team of IDQ developers tasked with developing the core functionality of the system across all work streams.
- This is a hands-on Developer role involving considerable data mapping and analysis. You will be involved at various levels of project detail depending on the particular Data Quality issue at hand. It is important that you have good problem solving skills and are comfortable engaging with multiple work groups.
- You will be working on a strategic Client Data Discovery programme aimed at creating, remediating and enriching client data for KYC. There are ambitious multi-year plans for this work stream.
In this role, you will:
- Core functionality of the IDQ implementation and the user interface.
- Work with the wider team in order to help develop a logical data model and maintain and create data dictionaries etc.
- Development a data quality management framework to support the project requirements
- Encourage adoption of IDQ Services with business stake-holders
- Assist business owners in maximising use of the IDQ platform
- Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards that are relevant to your work.
- Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and help mitigate them.
- Working in matrix environment which can be challenging when addressing ownership of tasks and issues
- Managing expectations of multiple work streams and priorities
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Previous banking and finance experience mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Client (Entity) reference data
- Strong experience of working in a data function interfacing with Global Markets and/or Global Banking systems and processes
- Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) Developer experience mandatory (version 9.1 or above, at least 5-6 years)
- Experience in developing IDQ projects using both IDQ Developer and IDQ Analyst interface
- Experience in handling large scale dataset
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Loader and UNIX
- Experience Control M, Jira, Quality Center, Qlikview an advantage
- Experience in IDQ and database performance tuning
- Experience with the business/data analysis, integration, quality controls and governance of golden source data management.
- Proficient in understanding business requirements and producing technical requirements specifications
- Ability to work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent team worker
- Strong communicator and presenter
- Coaching skills Well versed in imparting information
- Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands for himself / herself and the team
- Ability to provide high level estimates with limited information
- Strong analytical skills and change management
- Ability to create and maintain senior business relationships
- Good understanding of other similar tools for clear choice
- Provide senior management summaries on all aspects ot the technical solution
- Understanding of KYC process, Client onboarding, US Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act and other AML regulatory framework
